The Rock Drops By ‘Cory in the House’

Sunday, October 7th, 2017

On Friday, September 21, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to guest star on the Disney hit series, Cory in the House.  His television appearance will come a week before the premiere of his latest family flick, The Game Plan.

In the episode entitled “Never The Dwayne Shall Meet,” Johnson, playing himself, becomes President Martinez’s (John D’ Aquino) Presidential Advisor on Physical Fitness.  Through a series of hilarious blunders, Cory (Kyle Massey) and his friends get in the way of the adults’ meeting, while Johnson ultimately finds himself having tea with the president’s 8-year-old daughter, Sophie, played by Madison Pettis.

This is not the only time that Pettis will appear alongside Johnson, as she also has a starring role on The Game Plan.  In the film, Pettis will play Peyton, the daughter of a rich and single superstar quarterback named Joe Kingman (Johnson).  Joe has been unaware of his daughter’s existence, and when he finds out about Peyton, he decides to give fatherhood a try.

Other cast members of the Disney-distributed film include Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) as Stella Peck, Paige Turco (Big Shots) as Karen James, Roselyn Sanchez (Without a Trace) as Manique, Gordon Clapp (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) as Coach Maddox and Christin Lakin (Step by Step) as Nicole.

On the same night, Johnson will also guest star in another hit Disney series, Hannah Montana.  He becomes the subject of Miley (Miley Cyrus) and Lily’s (Emily Osment) scheming when the two friends send an erroneous photo to tabloids that could reveal Miley’s secret – she is actually teen pop sensation, Hannah Montana.

Cory in the House, the spin-off to That’s So Raven, is set in the nation’s capital, where Cory’s father, Victor Baxter (Rondell Sheridan) works as a personal chef to the President of the United States.  There, Cory attends prep school and makes new friends, Meena (Maiara Walsh) and Newt (Jason Dolley), and an enemy, Jason Stickler (Jake Thomas).

The second season of Cory in the House begins this fall.
